Need For Counselling

In India, many students fear criticism for speaking up, especially regarding their career choices. Despite the abundance of courses and career opportunities available, students frequently pursue traditional options such as engineering and medicine because many people still believe that these paths are more "secure" than others. This is because of the slow pace of social progress and the persistence of outdated ideas about career paths. As a result, students feel compelled to pursue these fields even if they are uninterested in them. Thus, students rarely explore their strengths and interests, which leads to dissatisfaction in their future careers.

Career counsellors play a vital role in helping students identify their interests and strengths and guiding them toward a fulfilling career. As individuals spend a significant amount of their life at work, it is crucial to choose a profession that aligns with their passions. Through one-on-one interactions, career counsellors assist students in understanding themselves and selecting a career that best suits them. They provide comprehensive guidance to students and parents, enabling parents to understand their childrens aspirations while students learn about their parents expectations.

About The Counsellor

Mrs. Anisha Singh

Anishas passion for teaching and guiding students toward their career paths led her to become a career counsellor. Teaching for more than ten years, she mentored numerous students in different cities in India. As a result, she had the opportunity to meet individuals from various segments of society, thus understanding student psychology from diverse backgrounds.

As a dedicated career counsellor, Anisha aspires to attain recognition in the education sector as an effective career counsellor by inspiring and providing the foremost advice to her students and professionals. She is committed to helping them realize their full potential and excel in their profession.

There is an immense need for career counselling for students in India, claims Anisha. The Indian education system focuses more on academics and less on practical knowledge, which leads to students being unaware of their strengths and weaknesses. This lack of awareness can lead to students making ill-informed career choices, which may lead to dissatisfaction in the long run.

Anisha believes in understanding the students interests, strengths, and weaknesses and providing personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their goals. Thus, through her counselling, Anisha strives to bridge this gap by assisting students in becoming aware of their strengths and interests and guiding them to make informed decisions based on them.

She aspires to have a positive impact on Indias education system by providing students with the tools they need to make informed career decisions.
